Leadership consulting for owners in Utah County
Bishoff Advisory helps owners of 20- to 80-person firms in Utah County lead the team they’ve built. I’m based in Spanish Fork, and I work with owners from Payson to Lehi: Springville, Provo, Orem, American Fork and the towns in between.

Owner-led firms that have grown past the point where the owner can lead on instinct. Professional services, trades, agencies and healthcare practices. The industry matters less than the stage you’re at. Usually there’s no senior HR or people leader, and most decisions still run through the owner.
This is leadership, strategy and structure. It isn’t HR admin. Payroll, handbooks and compliance stay with your current setup.
What the Leadership Gap looks like here
Utah County has a lot of fast-growing, owner-run businesses. Growth is good, but it hides things. The owner is busy, the team gets bigger, and the distance between how the owner thinks things are going and how the team actually experiences it gets wider. That distance is the Leadership Gap.
It usually shows up as good people leaving, partners pulling in different directions, meetings that change nothing, and decisions that keep landing back on the owner’s desk.
How the work runs
It starts with a free 20-minute Gap Call. If there’s a gap worth working on, the next step is the Leadership Gap Intensive: a 90-day plan built with you and your core leaders.
- Weeks 1–2: a confidential Leadership Gap Pulse with your team, plus one-on-ones with owners and core leaders.
- Week 3: a readout. You see the gap in plain numbers and your team’s own words, and pick the two or three things that matter most.
- Weeks 4–10: working sessions on decisions, roles, meeting rhythms and how hard news travels.
- Weeks 11–13: re-check with the team and lock in the habits that keep it going.
For local firms, I come to you. Working sessions happen onsite, with your team, in your building.
Why Utah County
This is home. I live in Spanish Fork with my family, and most of the owners I want to work with are within a short drive. Being close means I can be in the room when it matters, not just on a screen. More about me and my background.
Questions owners ask
Do you work with businesses outside Utah County?
Yes. Utah County comes first, and I also work with owners along the Wasatch Front and in the Wasatch Back. Most of the work can happen onsite or by video.
Is this the same as hiring HR help?
No. HR support handles payroll, policies and compliance. This work is about how the owner and core leaders lead the team. Many firms need both, but they solve different problems.
How do I know if there’s a gap worth working on?
That’s what the Gap Call is for. Twenty minutes, free. You tell me what’s not working, and I’ll tell you honestly whether there’s a gap worth working on.
